February 11th is Hatsuuma Festival at Hanazurainari Shrine, also it’s known as Daruma Festival.
Daruma is a doll without hands and feet representing the sitting meditation(zazen) posture of Bodhidharma.
Beside the river, there were so many Daruma who made the wish come true for people last year.
And the shrine was the other side of the river.
Over the many steps there was a main shrine, but so many people lined up, so we gave up to go in…
I love to visit there again soon.
Many Daruma were sold around the shrine,
and we bought a small one for my daughter who goes to a new school from April.
Her wish was “get taller and taller”and drew a one eye on right.
When her wish comes true, she can draw the other eye.
Can’t wait to see her wish comes true soon!!

I hope all your wishes come true! I also hope you can visit the temple again and get inside next time
(Miss you so much!)
Very cool.
